My clinic manager told me that the IT people had told one of the administration people that...the printer at work is completely unusable...duh. They plugged in the printer and it won't turn on -_- Hey, I've already tested that and told them what was wrong. I was standing beside the damn printer when the power supply burned out, I smelled the damn thing burning!

But what really bites is that without checking whether the power supply of the printer can be replaced first by calling the manufacturer (Hewlett Packard) and see if there is a part for it and whether just that part can be replaced...but noooooo, they just said that the printer is completely unusable and we need to get a new one -_- Hello! I've already told them what the hell is wrong with the printer and yet they just brush it off and deemed it un-salvageable? What the crap is that? And they're supposed to be better with computers and printers than I am!

I mean you don't have to buy it with your own money, right?
1 month waiting - but why? I've read previous post but I still don't understand why don't buy new printer right now - I suppose expences like that have to be included in company budget.

Yeah, probably. Maybe the clinic manager needs to put it into the Purchase Order or it needs to be included in the budget.

Well, one month is what she told me. I'm not involved on the administration side for these things so I'm not too sure why =/
