200 man-meele!

I've finally completed the 200 man-meele with all the characters! Here's my rundown of how easy it was for me for each of the characters. The list goes from easiest to hardest (for me).
Yuri - Really, really easy for me, considering I've played him from the beginning of the game. But seriously. The thing that made it so easy for Yuri is the fact that he has the Glory skill. To top it off, he has Assassin and Loner skills which makes it easier for solo battling the major bosses in the match. Even if I didn't have a maxed out attack power Fell Arm for Yuri, he would still be the easiest cause of the Glory skill. Not to mention once I catch the enemy with all my nine normal attacks and 2 base artes, 2 altered artes and 2 arcane artes combo...Didn't have to use Overlimit at all. Why? Glory.
Rita - Easy, cause of Resilience, Spell End, Light Magic and Stun Magic. When the going gets tough, you whip out "Blah blah blah, Tidal Wave!" in overlimit XD I basically cheesed the last part (Kratos's group) doing this. He got defeated by O.L. Lv 1, "Blah blah blah, Tidal Wave!"
Estelle - Believe it or not...I had a easy time with her. Much easier then some of the people below. It's because of her uber high physical and magical defenses, everything literally did only 1 damage to her (which means no staggering), until Kratos somehow decided to increase his attack power by some unknown force??? O.L. Lv 4, Holy Rain + Holy Lance for the win since I won't be able to pull off any spells without going into O.L. Kratos attacks too fast. Hmm...will Calvary + Holy Lance be enough time for her to pull the the spell?
Judith - I was kind of surprised...I was better at playing Judith than I thought. Although I was still a bit clumsy, but basically knocking the enemy into the air with a ground up + normal attack, continue to hold the up button until she jumps into the air, then slap aerial normal attacks then Cresent Moon + Moonbeam. I still need to learn how to juggle enemies in the air though, since I can't chain combo attacks against enemies yet. I didn't need to use Overlimit with Judith either. If she gets knocked into the air, I basically just needed to Recover in mid air and use Moonbeam.
Repede - Not too hard, but because Repede's physical and magical defense was low, he tends to take more damage than the other characters. But while Repede lacks defense, he has speed, and I'm also familiar with Repede's artes, so I know what is best for my play style, even though I don't play Repede often. But his foward normal attack is kind of annoying though, it always makes me slip past the faster enemies, exposing his back to the enemy. Not to mention that he's low (cause he's a dog and stands on four legs) it gives him a disadvantage against aerial enemies. Had to spam Light Spear/Shining Fang to get past that. Also, because Kratos attacks so fast, I had to use Lv 4 O.L. to beat him.
Karol - Karol's...too slow. Everything...is slow. But nonetheless, he's still easier than Raven for me cause Mighty Charge + Speed Charge + Charge Hold + Attack Arte Charge. I had to go into Lv 1 O.L. just to skill spam a few times and when I reached Kratos, I had to use Lv 4 O.L. with Devil Rage Rise spam to finish him off. Didn't get to use Overlord Reign Impact. He died before my O.L. ran out T_T
Raven - Nooooooo! I'm so sorry Raven! DX You may be my second favourite character, but I suck at playing you T_T Because of your melee/range switching normal attacks and artes and your lack of superiority in any stat (Raven is balanced stat wise)...I had to run around a lot, and you had to get hit so much x_x He nearly died a few times and I made Barbatos use his Mystic Arte like twice x_x Even if I didn't cause Raven to die, he might as well have ran out of time x_x Running around and using Cyan Instant...x_x When I reached Kratos, I had tried to use Lv 1 O.L. to pull off Stop Flow then use Crime/Punishment, but that failed. In the end, I had to use Lv 4 O.L. and spam Crime then go into Punishment when he got near enough and finished him off with Blast Heart. I wonder if I could have done better if I removed Change Style and/or Change Style 2...

5/1/09 17:32 (UTC)With Raven you could have tried the OVL 1 --> Tempest spam >_>;; As that youtube video did.
..It amused me.

6/1/09 02:59 (UTC)But yeah that's the only downside. Still works wonders 8D
...Dammit now I wanna do the 200 man even though Raven is NOWHERE near high enough :|;

6/1/09 03:36 (UTC)Lately I've been kind of been a bit close combat playing him xD Like Around and Around, Punishment, Just Like Dancing, and Rain of Heaven Tears. Mmm it's SO wonderful when you can get the ~10 hits in up in the air 8D
You know what's also a fun skill? Azure Heavens. Especially for the early rounds. Because when it kills a target, if it's still going (like there are still some arrows left to "rain down" on them), they'll AUTOMATICALLY MOVE to the next target. And since those go down fast...8D
Rainsong is also a lovely skill. Oh I love it <333 And of course Serpent. Mmm...I never really get a chance to use Cyan Instant effectively in random. The Growing World was a fun one for a moment and then Falling Stars to push enemies back.
Uuuh...never liked Violet Weasel/Snake but it's kinna fun.

6/1/09 05:35 (UTC)I forgot about Rainsong =S That's a pretty fast skill. My favourites is actually Azure Heavens, Cyan Instant when he get's surrounded, Crime/Punishment, Around and Around. I also like Falling Stars and Dark Chase XD
I forgot about Serpent when I was doing it -__- That is a good move to use when you're running around from the enemies. Run ahead, throw down a Serpent when they're a good distance away, then run again, then they'll run into the trap XD
Raven is not exactly the easiest person to combo with, unless you play melee >__> I can combo very fluidly with Yuri (nine normal attacks, 2 base, 2 altered, 2 arcane artes chain) and I can switch the artes really quickly if the enemy gets knocked away...But then, that's what Yuri's all about. Combos + high damage with speed, haha. I found Yuri has the fastest normal attacks, although he sucks a bit with defending after attacks, but that's really pointless once you get Glory, plus his physical defense is pretty high, while magical defense is average. I have a hard time comboing with Raven. More so than Judith.
Strangely enough, Judith's ground normal attacks are only average speed (similar to Repede's normal attack's speed) but her aerial normal attacks are really fast.

6/1/09 05:41 (UTC)Oh man. You should see my boyfriend with Judith he KICKS ASS. And I would agree that her aerial attacks are a lot better than ground, so I suggest focusing her skills on everything aerial. Especially the aerial dash forward AND backward. It's pretty handy from what I've seen.

6/1/09 06:10 (UTC)I can't remember what I did, so I'm not too sure, you can use all the aerial normal attacks and artes again with Judith if you use the double jump after one chain of attacks, I think, but does this work? I think I've seen some videos of people doing it...

6/1/09 07:53 (UTC)And you have to play Judith in manual otherwise you'll have a hard time. But then, who the heck plays on semi-auto anyway?
no subject
6/1/09 16:02 (UTC)Boyfriend plays on Manual though xD;
I used to for a bit but...with Raven, Semi-Auto really helped with nailing the targets xD; I sometimes switch but not as often.
>w>;;

6/1/09 16:31 (UTC)It's better to play Yuri in Manual too :S I actually find that guarding with Yuri when he has Glory equipped is a waste of time, cause he can get staggered if he guards >__> I'd very much prefer to dash off instead XD
Raven might be easier for some people to play in Semi-Auto, but I don't like it when the attack distance is not right then the controlled character has to run within attack range -_- I like having full control of my character...

6/1/09 16:34 (UTC)Yuri on manual is fun xD Though I still like the automatic going. Less work for me. And...I don't guard as often as I probably should :| I've gotten better. I'm the "YAAAAAAAAAAAh" kind of person that just dives in and kills things. LIKE YURI AND JUDITH :D But with Raven? RUN AROUND/GUARD LIKE MAD. xD
Aaaah. Usually if I see that the target is too far, I just Azure Heaven/Rainsong or some other quick attack that will go the distance. I'll constantly switch targets depending. Especially if there are casters, which is what I usually focus on.

7/1/09 01:28 (UTC)But Azure Heavens is really nice against casters. It reaches them quickly and from anywhere without having to worry whether anything is in the way and when it will come down (like Rain Down).

5/1/09 18:41 (UTC)I beat the coliseum with Raven the other day for my friends and I almost ran out of time too. :\ Cyan Instant is awesome for the coliseum, and so is Serpent. I like using Falling Stars against bosses too.
And ugh Karol. Karol is such a bitch to beat the coliseum with because he takes soooooo loooong to get anywhere. I actually turn off Mighty Charge when I play him because it always decides to charge when I'm trying to use a Burst Arte or something.
Also when I beat Estelle's coliseum for my friends, I totally cheesed it by using Eternal Support and Force Field. Mwahaha nothing hits the great Estelle!

6/1/09 01:28 (UTC)Although I agree with Karol. He's soooooo slow...It isn't hard to use Mighty Charge though. Attack Arte Charge Reaper Knock does wonders XD
That's cheating D: Eternal Support only works on Estelle right? Or does it work on other characters also?
